What this covers, and what it doesn't
- Only jurisdictions that publish a downloadable file with names: no scraping of search pages and no sites that need a login. States that publish pay without names (California, Oregon, Virginia) or only a per-name search (Washington, Ohio, North Carolina, Texas, Tennessee, Wisconsin and others) are not here.
- Pay is whatever the publisher reports: gross pay for the year, an annual rate as of a date, or an hourly rate (shown times 2,080 hours, and marked). Names are as published; a name split across two lines is kept as two lines.
- Links to person pages require the same full name with a middle name or initial, held by exactly one person page, in the payroll state. Links to FEC donors and registered lobbyists use the same rule.
