DescAll programsIn FY25, Restore received 328 referrals, supported 191 survivors and individuals at risk, and delivered core services to 188 survivors. Restore continued to deepen its integrated, survivor-centered model by strengthening coordination across programs, refining service infrastructure, and responding adaptively to survivor needs. Across Client Services, Housing, and Economic Empowerment, Restore emphasized continuity of care, survivor choice, and long-term outcomes through trauma-informed practice informed by data and survivor feedback.Client ServicesIn FY25, Restore's Client Services program supported 130 survivors and individuals at risk through trauma-informed, survivor-centered services promoting safety, stability, and long-term healing. Core services included case management for 125 clients, individual counseling for 8 clients, and group counseling for 6 clients. Additionally, 155 individuals received short-term resource coordination, and 10 clients received emergency interventions including hotel placements when safety concerns required urgent action.Client Services maintained access, consistency, and quality of care amid sustained demand and staffing gaps through goal-oriented, individualized service planning centering survivor choice and self-determination while addressing safety planning, housing stability, mental well-being, healthcare access, legal advocacy, and economic stability. The team ensured continuity of care and minimized service disruption despite staffing challenges.Restore refined its trauma-informed infrastructure to balance survivor access with staff sustainability. Case assignment practices evolved to prioritize timely engagement while incorporating staff communication around emotional capacity and secondary trauma, allowing the program to remain accessible while supporting staff well-being and preserving quality survivor engagement.Client Services expanded therapeutic offerings to meet diverse survivor needs. Restore conducted a pilot of a newly developed trauma-informed group therapy curriculum designed to support survivors in processing trauma, building emotional regulation skills, and strengthening peer connection. The pilot assessed curriculum structure, pacing, and accessibility while gathering feedback from participants and facilitators to inform refinements for broader future use.Restore leveraged community partnerships to supplement in-house services and connect survivors to specialized external supports when indicated. Across all services, Restore prioritized dignity, transparency, and informed consent, ensuring survivors understood their options and remained active participants in decision-making throughout their engagement.HousingIn FY25, Restore served 58 clients through its Housing program, including 33 in rapid re-housing and 35 through flexible funding. The transitional home provided housing to 9 survivors, and emergency hotel partnerships served 10 survivors. Overall, 81% of clients were housed within six months of intake.A major milestone was successful implementation of Restore's HUD-funded Rapid Re-Housing program. During its first year, Restore housed 15 of 17 enrolled clients, an achievement commended by NYC's Continuum of Care (CoC), demonstrating Restore's capacity to operationalize complex federal funding while maintaining survivor-centered, trauma-informed practices.Restore strengthened housing infrastructure by developing a comprehensive program model delineating roles and responsibilities. Housing Case Managers now focus exclusively on housing-related activities, improving coordination, accountability, and outcomes. Restore implemented formal housing program orientation for all participants, establishing clear expectations, outlining rights and responsibilities, and reinforcing commitment to dignity, choice, and informed consent.Restore implemented enhanced housing outreach strategies to expand access and strengthen partnerships with landlords, housing providers, and community organizations. A dedicated Manager of Rapid Re-Housing role was established to oversee outreach, partnership development, and stakeholder coordination, increasing capacity to identify housing opportunities and support timely, stable placements.Restore demonstrated leadership beyond direct services through active participation in citywide initiatives. We remained an active member of the Brooklyn Human Trafficking Task Force Shelter Subcommittee alongside Safe Horizon, Brooklyn DA's Office, and FBI New York Office, contributing to system-level efforts to strengthen housing responses for trafficking survivors. Additionally, Restore participated in the Domestic Violence Committee of NYC's Continuum of Care, informing survivor-centered housing policy and funding priorities citywide.Economic EmpowermentIn FY25, the Economic Empowerment (EE) Program served 93 clients, including 44 in Job Readiness classes, 31 through Direct Hire (job placement), 10 in Entrepreneurship Training, 18 in Entrepreneurship Incubation, 22 in Job Retention, and 8 in Career Development. Additionally, 12 clients received Education Financial Assistance for certification exams, licensing fees, and tuition aligned with their career goals. The EE program strengthened clients' employment readiness and workplace success through Supportive Services and Career Development programming. Supportive Services maintained strong outcomes with 81% completion rate and 100% of graduates completing professional resumes. Restore successfully executed the Future in Training (FIT) Hospitality curriculum in collaboration with Marriott International and University of Maryland SAFE Center, resulting in one client securing hospitality employment. During FY25, Restore completed a pilot Career Development program for employed survivors seeking professional growth. Program graduates demonstrated 100% increase in soft skills per post-program assessments.Employment placement and retention outcomes exceeded benchmarks. While the program targeted 60% of Direct Hire enrollees obtaining employment within six months, 75% achieved placement within that timeframe. Clients placed through Restore partnerships earned an average hourly wage of $18.71, exceeding NYC's $16.50 minimum wage, with average annualized earnings of $26,824, surpassing the program's portfolio benchmark. Employment stability outcomes were strong: 60% of Direct Hire clients remained employed at six months, and 71% employed at 12 months experienced wage increases and/or job advancement. Average annual income for clients employed at 12 months was $40,871, and 100% of Direct Hire clients employed at 12 months were no longer being trafficked.Restore innovated entrepreneurship services structure by creating new opportunities for clients to strengthen and launch survivor-owned businesses. The program hosted its first Restore Fair, allowing entrepreneurs to present business concepts to staff and receive feedback in preparation for Pitch Night. Restore hosted the Entrepreneurship Pitch Night for Incubation clients, where three participants presented to volunteer judges, received feedback, and were awarded seed funding. Five clients launched businesses in FY25, and 100% increased their earnings within 12 months.Restore strengthened strategic partnerships to support client outcomes. The EE program sustained its partnership with BlackRock, hosting quarterly workshops on workplace skills and financial preparedness, and launched a new partnership with Capco for FY26 financial literacy workshops addressing practical financial management and financial trauma. Restore collaborated with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce on a case study examining how partnerships and personal development contribute to economic stability for survivors. The Director of Economic Empowerment spoke twice at the United Nations, including presentations through the FAST Initiative on trust-based funding models and economic empowerment, and on Restore's work supporting victims through economic independence to disrupt trafficking cycles.ImpactIn January 2025, Restore released its annual impact report, "Funding Freedom," analyzing five years of Restore data, survivor perspectives, and expert interviews to determine housing, employment, mental health, and safety outcomes for survivors receiving housing support. The report examined immediate and long-term impacts, offering insights for practitioners, policymakers, and stakeholders, and was shared with 570 professionals at nonprofit service providers, law enforcement organizations, federal and state agencies, and private foundations nationwide, plus close to 7,800 Restore supporters.Restore continued assessing organizational impact using the Freedom Index (FI) framework measuring participants' progress toward freedom in five domains while enrolled (housing stability, job security, living wages, mental well-being, and safety perception), and administering a quarterly Client Satisfaction Survey (CSS) inDesc
