| Description | The Norwalk Emergency Shelter is located at 4 Merritt Street in South Norwalk, Connecticut, where it has 95 beds. It provides emergency shelter for men, women, and families, as well as operates a breakfast, lunch and dinner Soup Kitchen called the "Manna House of Hospitality". Through the Manna House soup kitchen, over 13,300 meals are served each month. The Shelter's hours are from 5:30 PM to 9:00 AM for single residents and 24 hours a day for families. It is open seven days a week. On average 135 individuals and families stay at the Shelter per night, and it is frequently full. The Shelter is part of a network of services within the community. Shelter Case Managers interview and work with each resident to help them search for housing, jobs, job training, and appropriate counseling and treatment. Over the course of a year, our Case Managers make hundreds of referrals to city and state social service agencies. | Description |
