| Description | THE DALLAS HOLOCAUST MUSEUM PROVIDES LIFE-CHANGING EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES IN THE AFTERMATH OF ONE OF HISTORYS MOST CATACLYSMIC EVENTS. MUSEUM ATTENDANCE IN 2010 WAS 48,882, AN INCREASE OF 13 OVER THE PREVIOUS YEAR. WE FACILITATED 9 TEACHER SEMINARS, WITH 218 TEACHERS IN ATTENDANCE, BUILDING ON OUR REPUTATION AS A LEARNING RESOURCE CENTER OF EXCELLENCE. ALSO, 70 TEACHERS ATTENDED 13 MUSEUM VISIT ORIENTATION SESSIONS. WE HOSTED 160 NEW SCHOOL GROUPS IN THE MUSEUM, HOSTED 2 LOCAL SURVIVOR EVENTS, CO-HOSTED A NEW DOCUMENTARY FILM CALLED THE LAST SURVIVOR, FACILITATED AN APPROPRIATE RESPONSE TO A HATE DEMONSTRATION, HELD A PANEL DISCUSSION TO INTRODUCE THE PUBLIC TO THE NEW TEXAS HOLOCAUST GENOCIDE COMMISSION, HELD AN AUTHOR-SPEAKER EVENT AT THE MUSEUM THEATER WITH RENOWNED AUTHOR ERIC METAXAS TO STANDING ROOM ONLY AUDIENCE, SPOKE TO SEVERAL CIVIC AND SCHOOL GROUPS ABOUT THE MISSION OF DHM/CET, LAUNCHED AN EFFECTIVE THEMED CAMPAIGN AROUND UPSTANDERS AND THEIR PLACE IN CURRENT ENVIRONMENT OF BULLYING, AND EXHIBITED A PHOTOGRAPHIC PROJECT OF 13 LOCAL SURVIVORS THEIR FAMILIES. | Description |
