| Description | The organization is a leader in the movement to end the unnecessary euthanasia of pets. The three part mission directly targets the root causes of pet homelessness and includes 1) building a pet resource center and domestic animal sanctuary on 43 acres of donated land, 2) providing life-saving and innovative behavioral and educational programs, 3) leading a coalition of animal welfare organizations to collectively address the larger social issues that cause pet homelessness. Our Companions rescues homeless cats and dogs through the Rescue Outreach Program, raises funds for the spay/neuter program, conducts an animal assistance program that provides trained animal professionals to respond to assistance calls, and conducts canine behavioral classes. | Description |
