| Description | BOLD Ministries is a sponsor of the Summer Food Service Program SFSP For the past three years BOLD has served many organizations in the greater Atlanta Metro area Our service has progressively increased every year For instance our statistics on the number of meals provided by BOLD are as follows 2009 5 sites clients 20000 meals 2010 15 sites 49000 meals 2011 27 sites 80000 meals 2012 41 sites as of May 11 2012180000 meals projected These statist ics are a reflection of services provided and clients served during the summer months SFSP is a nutrition program providing meals to needy children who normally receive free or reduced meals during the school year During the summer months many ch ildren still need to receive nutritional meals in order to stay healthy and have a great start to the next school year BOLD Ministries sends out Public Service Announcements to the local newspapers of the counties that we serve In 2012 we wil l be serving Rockdale Newton Gwinett Dekalb Henry and Barrow counties for the SFSP The objective of the SFSP is to serve needy children 18 years and younger with nutritious meals during the summer months when school is out The long term goal of BOLD Ministries is to not only serve needy children during the summer months but to also serve at-risk children during the school year We are currently seeking application approval from the State of Georgia as a year-round sponsor of Georg ias nutrition programs The SFSP allows BOLD Ministries the opportunity to be of service in our local community as well as neighboring communities in other counties in the Atlanta Metro area We are so thankful for the opportunity to not only fe ed Georgias kids but also to provide employment to college students during the summer months as well as several adults who are unemployed We pray that we can continue to increase and expand the summer program as well as establish a stable year-rou nd program The statistics on the jobs we provide 2009 5 jobs 2010 11 jobs 2011 20 jobs 2012 28 jobs | Description |
