Description	Park managementLandPaths assists local Cities, County governments and the State with land in the transition to public ownership and management. LandPaths' innovative permit system to manage access on these types of properties has been replicated in parks in the area and the state. LandPaths currently provides assistance for: (1) Taylor Mountain, in transition to a Regional Park, and (2) Carrington, in transition to the CA State Park system. LandPaths' People Powered Parks are longer-term partnerships to engage the community, these include: (1) Bayer Farm is LandPaths' farm-based park in the lowest income area of Santa Rosa in partnership with the City of Santa Rosa; (2) Healdsburg Ridge with 155 acre natural open space, with the City of Healdsburg, and; (3) Willow Creek, with CA State Parks, where LandPaths' ability to take on access and stewardship was critical to the protection of this 3,300 acres of once timber company property. Description	In Our Own BackYard is a nature awareness program built to enhance students' connection and confidence in the outdoors. This school-based program offers in-depth experience with 4 full-day field visits over the school year and averaging 18-20 hours of field time per student. The In Our Own BackYard curriculum correlates with many state and federal science, math, language arts and physical education standards, helping to increase students' hands-on understanding of material, with opportunities to apply knowledge. We currently work County-wide to offer over 100 free to the public Outings annually with over 4,000 participants - all with an exemplary safety record. Diverse by design, LandPaths' Outings include hikes, farm tours, campouts, equestrian access, ADA tours, kayak trips, and stewardship projects, focusing on themes ranging from local agriculture to natural history. We tap our community's local knowledge and experience -- from farmers to academics--in shaping engaging programs. Our passion is to create positive and inspiring outdoor experiences for people, increasing their understanding and appreciation of nature.
