A GOAL OF THE PROGRAM IS TO HELP FAMILIES DEVELOP A SAFETY NET OF CONNECTIONS TO THEIR COMMUNITY (FRIENDS, CHURCH, CLUBS, ETC.) AND TO DEVELOP THE SKILLS NECESSARY TO NAVIGATE PUBLIC/PRIVATE SOCIAL SERVICE SYSTEMS TO ACCESS SUPPORTS THAT ENSURE A HEALTHY FAMILY ENVIRONMENT AND THAT PREVENT FUTURE ABUSE OR NEGLECT. FAMILY VISITATION SERVICES - PROVIDED 1,216 SUPERVISED VISITS IN A SAFE AND NEUTRAL ENVIRONMENT FOR 149 CHILDREN AND 118 PARENTS/CAREGIVERS WORKING TOWARDS FAMILY REUNIFICATION. SERVICES INCLUDE CHILD DEVELOPMENT EDUCATION AND COACHING FOR PARENTS, AND INPUT TO SAN DIEGO COUNTY CHILD WELFARE SERVICES REGARDING FAMILY READINESS. TRANSPORTATION IS PROVIDED, AS NEEDED, TO FACILITATE VISITATION.
