Activity Or Mission Description	Marklund enriches the lives of those with special healthcare needs by honoring the unique purpose of each individual. Those we serve are able to enjoy a full and meaningful life supported by a compassionate, nurturing environment; a strong partnership with the community; and an unmatched dedication to personal growth. Marklund currently serves over 185 clients. 117 are residential, and the remaining individuals come from the community to utilize our day programs. Many have complex medical problems that require 24-hour skilled nursing care provided at all of our homes. We have gained the trust of over 1,800 families for the residential and therapeutic needs for their children, and we continue to be a premier provider of these individualized services. Recently, we opened a life skills classroom at our Bloomingdale location to serve students with autism. Mission Description	Residential Program: Long term care for severely and profoundly disabled infants, chidlren, and adults. Providing residential sevices to 117 induviduals. Day Programs: We operate a private non-public school serving early childhood through high school. The school just added a classroom for students living with autism; this classroom can accomodate up to 7 High School students. In total the Marklund Day School has capacity to provide quality education for 40 students. We currently serve 24.
