DIA'S FOCUS IS UNBIASED, PATIENT-CENTRIC TRAINING FOR THE WORLDWIDE MEDICAL COMMUNITY. DIA HAS GROWN TO A GLOBAL LEADERSHIP POSITION IN PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION, BEGINNING WITH TRADITIONAL IN-PERSON EVENTS AND EXPANDING INTO TECHNOLOGY-BASED, ELECTRONIC LEARNING MEDIA. THE NUMBER OF MEETINGS AND WORKSHOPS HELD HAS INCREASED FROM A TOTAL OF TWO EVENTS HELD IN THE UNITED STATES IN 1980, TO A TOTAL OF 398 EVENTS HELD WORLDWIDE IN 2012. IN 2012, DIA CONDUCTED 182 WORKSHOPS AND TRAINING COURSES IN THE UNITED STATES WITH OVER 7,300 PARTICIPANTS. IN ADDITION TO THESE EVENTS, THE DIA ANNUAL MEETING, THE LEADING GLOBAL CONFERENCE ON PHARMACEUTICAL INFORMATION AND EDUCATION, ATTRACTED OVER 6,900 PARTICIPANTS FROM THE US AND ACROSS THE WORLD. IN 2012, DIA CONDUCTED 115 WORKSHOPS AND TRAINING COURSES ACROSS EUROPE, ATTRACTING OVER 3,600 PARTICIPANTS.
