Amnesty International USA, Inc. does not believe there are any material uncertain tax positions and, accordingly, they have not recognized any liability for uncertain tax benefits. The organization has filed Internal Revenue Service Form 990 tax returns, as required, and all other applicable returns in jurisdictions when it is required. For the year ended December 31, 2012, there was no interest or penalties recorded or included in the financial statements. As of December 31, 2012, the years still subject to examination by a taxing authority are 2009 through 2011. |
