| Description | We provided housing for dogs and cats entering our shelter while they awaited a permanent home. Our spay and neuter services expanded from altering all the animals entering our care to additionally providing a spay and neuter program to low income families. We engaged our community through youth education classes and field trips to encourage the benefits of responsible pet ownership and the identification of pets. We actively work to find the owners of lost animals who enter our shelter.During 2012, 1,079 dogs and cats were adopted, 201 dogs and cats were reunited with their owners, and all of the dogs and cats who were adopted out and not already altered were spayed or neutered and micro-chipped prior to leaving the shelter. | Description |
