| Description | Education:The KMA's Education Department develops group visits and art programs that make each exhibition accessible and relevant to the needs and interests of diverse audiences. These initiatives support KMA's Education Mission as being a "Teaching Museum". KMA's exhibition-based programs are presented both at the Museum, as well as off-site in our schools and community based organizations. Our programs exceeded 11,155 participants in 2012-2013. School visitation-4,700; Exhibition-based children and family programs - 1,895; Young Artist exhibition - 2,200; Multi-session partnership programs with schools and community service organizations - 1,115; 2 community quilt projects - 55; Thinking Through Art - 700; SmArt Girls - 65; Arte Juntos Outreach - 350; Professional Development - 75. 4 additional exhibitions were added for FYE 06.30.13: Thinking Through ArtYounger Artists-New York StoriesArte Juntos/Art Together (2 sessions) | Description |
