| Desc | We provide temporary housing for dogs and cats entering our shelter while they await a permanent home. Spaying and neutering is a priority for PAS, so we spay and neuter every dog and cat before adoption and we offer spay and neuter vouchers to low income families. We engage our community through youth education classes and field trips to encourage the benefits of responsible pet ownership and the identification of pets. We actively work to find the owners of lost animals who enter our shelter. During 2013, 1,115 dogs and cats were adopted, 132 dogs and cats were reunited with their owners, 129 dogs were transferred into our shelter and saved from euthanasia. All dogs and cats adopted from our shelter have been micro-chipped, spayed and neutered and provided with a round of vaccines. | Desc |
