| Description | ADOLESCENT SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENTTHE CAMPUS; A PLACE FOR RECOVERY PROVIDES RESIDENTIAL AND OUTPATIENT SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT FOR ADOLESCENTS BETWEEN THE AGES OF 13-17. THE CAMPUS RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM PROVIDES INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP THERAPY, SUBSTANCE ABUSE EDUCATION, LIFE SKILLS TRAINING, ANGER MANAGEMENT, AN ON-SITE SCHOOL, AND FAMILY COUNSELING. THE RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM SERVES APPROXIMATELY 100 YOUTH EACH YEAR. SINCE OPENING IN 1999, THE CAMPUS HAS SERVED WELL OVER 6,000 YOUTH COMBINED IN THE OUTPATIENT AND RESIDENTIAL PROGRAMS. SERVICES AT THE CAMPUS ARE TRAUMA-SENSITIVE, EVIDENCE-BASED PRACTICES THAT PUT CLIENTS ON THE PATH TO RECOVERY AND SOBRIETY.IN 2013, MHMR VISIONS PROVIDED FUNDS TO SUPPORT RESIDENTIAL SERVICES. SUPPORT INCLUDED RENOVATION OF AN EXISTING MULTIPURPOSE ROOM INTO A LARGE WORKOUT ROOM WITH FOURTEEN COMMERCIAL GRADE EXERCISE MACHINES AND A RUBBER FLOOR. ALL NEW RESIDENTIAL UNIT FURNITURE AND OUTDOOR FURNITURE WAS PURCHASED. IN ADDITION, FUNDS WERE PROVIDED TO SUPPLEMENT THE COST OF RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT. | Description |

IN 2013, MHMR VISIONS ENHANCED IDD SERVICES BY PROVIDING WEEKLY MUSIC THERAPY CLASSES FOR 100 INDIVIDUALS IN DAY HABILITATION SERVICES, FUNDING ZUMBA EXERCISE CLASSES, AND UNDERWRITING TRAVEL EXPENSE FOR THE WE HAVE A VOICE ADVOCACY THEATRE GROUP FOR YOUNG ADULTS WITH IDD. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: MENTAL HEALTH SERVICESMENTAL HEALTH SERVICES HELP STABILIZE THE LIVES OF CHILDREN, ADOLESCENTS, AND ADULTS. TREATMENT IS COMPREHENSIVE, RECOVERY ORIENTED, AND DIRECTED TOWARDS STABILIZATION IN THE HOME, WORK PLACE AND COMMUNITY.THE COMMUNITY CENTER IS A MENTAL HEALTH DROP-IN CENTER WHERE PEOPLE FIND COMMUNITY, PURPOSE AND EMPOWERMENT. IT IS A PLACE WHERE PEOPLE CAN COME TOGETHER TO END THEIR ISOLATION, LEARN SOCIAL SKILLS, AND BEGIN TO INTEGRATE INTO THE COMMUNITY. COMMUNITY CENTER ACTIVITIES ARE VOLUNTARY AND FREE FOR PEOPLE RECEIVING MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES IN THE COMMUNITY. THE CENTER HAS OVER 500 MEMBERS. LAST YEAR MHMR VISIONS SUPPORTED THE COMMUNITY CENTER BY UNDERWRITING A HOLIDAY PARTY FOR ADULTS WITH SEVERE AND CHRONIC ILLNESS. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 6: EARLY CHILDHOOD INTERVENTION (ECI)ECI OFFERS COMPREHENSIVE SERVICES TO FAMILIES WITH INFANTS AND TODDLERS BETWEEN THE AGES OF 0 TO 36 MONTHS WHO HAVE DEVELOPMENTAL DELAYS OR DISABILITIES. IN 2013, MHMR VISIONS PROVIDED FUNDING TO SUPPLEMENT A COMMUNITY OUTREACH EFFORT FOR PARENTS OF CHILDREN WHO ARE ELIGIBLE FOR SERVICES. |
