| Description | Adult Outpatient, Employee Development, Vocational IT, vocational rehabilitation, Child, Youth, and Family Services, PAES Counseling: RAMS has maintained an ongoing contract with San Francisco Department of Public Health (DPH) - Community Behavioral Health Services (CBHS) to provide mental health and psychiatric services to adults, older adults, children, youth, and families. These services are provided at the RAMS Outpatient Clinic, Hire-Ability, San Francisco State University, San Francisco Department of Human Services (DHS) Personal Assisted Employment Services (PAES), as well as community settings including youth centers and schools. Additionally, RAMS provides on-site prevention and early intervention mental health services to the childcare community that cares for children ages 0-5 as well as provides integrated behavioral health services and consultation on-site at many San Francisco high schools. Services are also targeted to children and youth who are part of Special Emotional Disturbance (SED), and Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment (EPSDT) programs. As a component of the Hire-Ability Vocational Services program, RAMS provides (i) employee development services including basic job skills training, sheltered workshops, and on-site training, (ii) vocational information technology (IT) training (help desk and desktop support) through classroom and on-the-job skills building to adults who have a serious and persistent mental illness, and (iii) vocational rehabilitation services. Partnered with San Francisco State University, RAMS runs the Peer Specialist Mental Health Certificate Program designed to prepare consumers and/or family members for entry-level employment in the behavioral health care system. RAMS leads a summer program for youth to foster his/her interest in health and human services as a career option. In collaboration with DHS and DPH, RAMS also provides (i) culturally competent outpatient behavioral health counseling and pre-vocational services to participants of PAES, the county's welfare-to-work program for adults without dependent children, and (ii) brief functional assessments to clients of County Adult Assistance Programs (CAAP).RAMS offers clinical training programs (Pre-Doctoral Internship and Practicum Traineeship), which train graduate students to become culturally competent mental health professionals, with expertise in working with Asian & Pacific Islander and other minority groups. The interns and trainees provide services to adults and older adults and children, youth, and families as part of the CBHS contract, which is included as part of the program during the current year. | Description |

OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: AFI Fee for Services: The Asian Family Institute (AFI) provides culturally competent mental health and psychiatric services to adults and children, youth, and families. The program services are offered as fee-for-services (private insurance or self-pay on a sliding fee scale). OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 6: Vocational Contracts, Production, and Caf: As a part of the vocational training services program, RAMS provides vocational assessment by operating a caf (dba Caf Phoenix) and production activities (assembly and packaging). Training also includes contracted (with the State of California Department of Rehabilitation) fee-for-service occupational skills development. The training is provided on-site at the RAMS Hire-Ability Vocational Services program. |
