| Desc | Plan, build, promote and maintain the Bay Area Ridge Trail. When complete, the Ridge Trail will extend 550 miles and connect over 75 parks and open spaces in the 9-county Bay Area. At the end of 2014, 350 miles were dedicated. Trail openings in 2014 included: Bothe Napa State Park, Moore Creek Park, Benicia Streets, Sierra Vista Open Space Preserve and Skylawn Memorial Park. Four staging areas were also opened. In 2014, we hosted 29 fun trail outings and events all around the region for over 630 participants. The Council hosted several large fully supported trail events including Ridge to Bridge in Marin and San Francisco, a 5-day East Bay Hills Thru Hike and Ride, and the REI - Ridge Trail Service Day. | Desc |
