| Part 1: Summary | Line 1 The mission of the Early Learning Coalition of the Big Bend is to provide developmentally appropriate educational services to children from birth to kindergarten to ensure readiness for school, reduce academic failure, and to provide educational and childcare services to various ages. There are 349 child care provider members of the coalition who serve appoximately 7,025 children during the fiscal year. |
| Part VI: Governance, Management, and Disclosure | Section B, Line 11B Form 990 and all accompanying schedules are prepared by an independent accounting firm. The form and accompanying schedules are reviewed by the CEO and finance director. All questions and issues are resolved with the independent accounting firm prior to filing with the internal revenue service center. |
| Line 12C | All officers, directors, committee members, and staff members must sign a written conflict of interest policy prior to working with the organization. (Any known or potential conflicts are discussed and resolved with the chairman of the board). |
| Line 15A | The Board's executive committee determines the Chief executive officer's annual compensation based on performance, comparable compensation paid to chief executive officers/executive directors of similar size coalitions within the State of Florida and the budgetary allowance of the organization. |
| Section C, Line 19 | The organization keeps its governing documents, conflict of interest policy, and financial statements in its administrative office and all are available to the public upon request. |
