| Form 990, Part III, Line 4d: Other Program Services Description | OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 4: African Office Operations - This fund is used to pay our African staff their salaries, take care and maintain our car in Africa and for other general and administrative expenses in Zambia. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: S/T Missionary Trips - Arise Africa frequently takes Americans on mission trips where they participate by teaching kids Bible camps, organizing the orphanages and working with the many community partners in Zambia for the benefit of orphans and vulnerable children. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 6: Orphanage - Arise Africa finished building the first Zambian orphanage in August 2012 and moved kids into the home in December 2012. Arise Africa began building the second orphanage in 2015 and plans to move kids into the home in September 2016. Each building has the capacity to home 15 children. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 7: School Supplies - Arise Africa works with community schools within Zambia to help them have the tools they need to teach. Arise Africa helps purchase textbooks, desks, chairs, chalkboards, and other items that schools desperately need in Africa. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 8: Africa Team Scholarship - This fund provides scholarships to Africans attending college. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 9: Ministry Personnel Fund - The purpose of this fund is to offset the living expenses of volunteer Arise Africa missionaries. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 10: Christmas Catalog - Each year we produce a hardcopy and online version of a catalog from which donors may purchase items in honor of someone like a pair of shoes for a Zambian child.
