| Desc | Childrens Education Program-WLCDC currently provides full-day, child-centered and developmentally appropriate early childhood education environments for nearly 90 children from 6 weeks to six years of age. Currently, Wild Lilac operates five classrooms: infant (ages six weeks to two years);toddler (ages 24-36 months);two preschool classrooms (ages 3-5) and one early kindergarten classroom (ages 5-6). WLCDC works closely with Multnomah Early Childhood Program to ensure it is meeting the needs of all children. Wild Lilac also works with private specialists at families request. Education at Wild Lilac is characterized by small class sizes, low student-teacher ratios, qualified and educated teachers, a language-rich environment to promote early literacy, and respectful, engaging interactions between teachers and children. Using the principles of anti-bias education, Wild Lilac teachers guide the children in exploring their differences and similarities to foster positive identity development and to promote respect and understanding for all people. | Desc |
