Together with educators, government agencies, service organizations, faith-based organizations, compassionate community members and donors, HYC is helping to bring a positive future to this nearly invisible and forgotten population.HYC serves more than 700 homeless youth between the ages of 13 and 21. HYC serves more than 80 traditional, on-line, and charter high schools in districts throughout Maricopa County.HYC provides homeless youth with a comprehensive social services program that effectively identifies and engages homeless youth in trauma-informed, culturally competent, and developmentally age-appropriate interventions. Through the program, HYC provides youth with housing, basic needs, case management, and support with their education. HYC helps youth obtain public assistance such as healthcare and insurance and assists youth with obtaining their vital documents. HYC also helps youth learn basic life skills and develop a plan for post-graduation. All services are provided at no cost to the student, high school, school district or state. | Desc |
