| Desc | Lutheran Volunteer Corps, a community of faith, unites people to work for peace with justice by matching volunteers who commit to a year of service with social justice organizations in 11 cities nationally. The pillars upon which we build our work are community, sustainability, and peace with justice. In FY2018, LVC placed 86 volunteers in agencies across the United States. Their work included tutoring young people in schools, providing case management at agencies serving the homeless, advocating for the rights of immigrant and refugee populations, and providing legal services for the elderly.
