| Desc | Adoption and implementation of binding Climate Action Plans and advancement of 100% clean energy in the San Diego region, through engagement of public, supporters and decision makers:Climate Action Campaign led the City of San Diego to form the worlds largest single-city Community Choice Energy Program, approved by Mayor and Council.Climate Action Campaign successfully led the integration of 100% clean energy and transportation mode share goals into the Climate Action Plans for the cities of Encinitas and La MesaWe issued our second annual San Diego Region Climate Action Report Card to cities in the region, with five cities receiving bronze, silver, or gold ratings.Climate Action Campaigns Executive Director, Nicole Capretz, was appointed to the California Strategic Growth Council.We built community capacity and climate literacy with our Climate Action Plans 101 and 201 workshops.We launched the second season of our podcast series, Flip the Script, to share ideas for how we can make San Diego a region that is inclusive, progressive and equitable.Partnered with Mid-City CAN, a civic engagement and community advocacy organization, to amplify their campaign for no-cost transit passes for youth, both increasing opportunities for young people in City Heights and helping reduce greenhouse gas emissionsSuccessfully advocated in the city of Irvine to begin a study of community choice energy, making them the first large city in Orange County to begin exploring that program. | Desc |
