AS A THEORY OF CHANGE IFIP ACCELERATES THE SELF-DETERMINED DEVELOPMENT OF INDIGENOUS PEOPLES THROUGH IMPROVING THE RESPONSIVENESS OF INDIGENOUS PEOPLES FUNDING. OUR NEW STRATEGIC FRAMEWORK GUIDES OUR EFFORTS TO ADDRESS DIVERSITY, EQUITY AND INCLUSION IN PHILANTHROPY- AS WELL AS - PROMOTE A SYSTEMS CHANGE AND STRENGTHEN INDIGENOUS PEOPLES RIGHTS. KEY AMONG THESE IS THE NEED TO CHANGE PARAGIMS, TRANSFORM PHILANTHROPY FOR GREATER PARTNERSHIPS AND EQUITY BY INCREASING THE FUNDING AVAILABLE FOR INDIGENOUS LEADERSHIP AND INDIGENOUS PEOPLES ORGANIZATIONS TO REALIZE THEIR LIFE PLANS, ASPIRATIONS, AND RIGHTS.PROGRAM AREASIFIPS PROGRAMS ADVANCE THE WORK OF OUR MEMBERS AND INDIGENOUS PEOPLES BY FACILITATING COLLABORATION AMONG OUR MEMBERS, CONVENING FUNDERS, AND INFORMING PHILANTHROPY OF IMPORTANT DEVELOPMENTS ON THE INDIGENOUS MOVEMENT.IFIP CONFERENCE AND CONVERNINGS - IFIP CONFERENCES CONVENE KEY INDIGENOUS LEADERS, IFIP MEMBERS AND VISIONARY GRANTMAKERS FOR DEEP DISCUSSION ON THE MOST IMPORTANT ISSUES IN THE FIELD, FROM INDIGENOUS WOMEN AND CLIMATE CHANGE TO DECOLONIZING PHILANTHROPY. THESE PIVOTAL EVENTS SUPPORT FUNDERS AND INFLUENCE THEIR PERSPECTIVES, FUNDING PRACTICES, AND HOW THEY WORK.IFIPS LEARNING INSTITUTE A FIRST OF ITS KIND INSTITUTE TO SUPPORT GRANTMAKERS TO STRENGTHEN, DEVELOP, AND ADOPT FUNDING STRATEGIES AND PRACTICES THAT VALUE INDIGENOUS PEOPLES, RESPECT THEIR RIGHTS, AND INCORPORATE THEIR VALUES IN THE WHAT AND HOW OF ENGAGING WITH INDIGENOUS COMMUNITIES. THE INSTITUTE AIMS TO SEED THE TRANSFORMATION OF THE FUNDING SECTOR TO ONE OF RESPECT AND UNDERSTANDING OF INDIGENOUS PEOPLES AND TO GROW FUNDING PARTNERSHIPS THAT ADOPT VALUE-BASED PARTNERSHIPS THAT MORE EFFECTIVELY ADDRESS STRUGGLES FACED BY INDIGENOUS PEOPLES. INDIGENOUS TERRITORIES FUNDERS WORKING GROUP - FACILITATES A COLLABORATIVE SPACE FOR IFIP MEMBERS ON ISSUES THAT RELATE TO STEWARDSHIP OF LAND AND SEASCAPES, SELF-DETERMINED MANAGEMENT OF RESOURCES, CLIMATE RESILIENCE, AND PROTECTION OF BIOCULTURAL DIVERSITY. THE WORKING GROUP BUILDS ON IFIPS AND ITS PARTNERS PAST LEARNINGS, FINDINGS, AND INSIGHTS TO CONTINUE TO DEVELOP INNOVATIVE FUNDING PRACTICES FOR COMMUNITY-LED INITIATIVES.INDIGENOUS WOMEN FUNDERS WORKING GROUP FOSTERS LEARNING AMONG PEERS AND COLLABORATIVE ACTION THAT CONTRIBUTES TO EXPANDING AND TRANSFORMING HOW FUNDERS PARTNER WITH INDIGENOUS WOMEN.
