| Form 990, Part VI, Line 11b: Form 990 Review Process | An independent CPA prepares the forms and gives them to the Executive Director. The Executive Director and Vice Chair of Finance of the governing body review the 990 for accuracy prior to filing. Upon completion of this step the 990 is made available to all board members. |
| Form 990, Part VI, Line 12c: Explanation of Monitoring and Enforcement of Conflicts | To date there have been no conflicts of interest matters with the Chamber Board of Directors or its staff. The Chamber Board staunchly believes in an equal playing field for all members interested in conducting business in Vernon. However as a step of best practices, a Conflict of Interest notice shall be developed for Board Members to sign at the beginning of each calendar year. Disclosure of any potential conflicts can be made at that time. If any conflicts are noted they are brought to the attention of the full Board for appropriate action as detailed in the Conflict of Interest Policy. |
