| Explanation | To be eligible, families must live in Bellevue School District, show proof of financial need (income at 200% or less of the federal poverty line) and have children living in their household. The Educational Grants Committee interviews candidates, determines eligibility and awards scholarship grants based on established criteria. Guidelines for providing emergency financial assistance to families in need have been developed and approved by the Board of Directors. The bulk of this assistance is provided in response to eviction or utility shut-off notices but may also include other financial assistance such as food, clothing, medical, child care, or auto repair.
