| Part IV Section E, line 2A | The supported organization is the Head Lama of TNMC. During this report year the COVID pandemic caused the cancellation of the annual ceremony and gathering at Bodh Gaya India. Funds that were granted in December 2020 funded multiple smaller ceremonies in January 2021; these ceremonies were held at the Tibetan Nyingma monasteries who would have normally attended the annual gathering. The recipient monasteries were designated by Head Lama of TNMC. Furthering the cultural and religious activity of Tibetan Buddhism is the exempt purpose of Head Lama of TNMC church. |
| Part IV, Section E, line 2B | Head Lama of TNMC is the supported organization. The exempt purpose of Head Lama of TNMC is to further the activities of Buddhism particularly Tibetan Buddhism. In 1993 TNMC established this Bodhgaya Trust organization to continue annual Peace Ceremonies at Bodh Gaya India so that the Tibetan Nyingma school monasteries monastics and lay people could come to the Bodh Gaya the place of the Buddha's Enlightenment to practice their faith and pray for world peace together. Thus the Bodhgaya Trust organization has been tasked by the church TNMC to carry out this annual ceremony; the organization is fulfilling an activity of the church. |
