| Desc | In the United States, over 4.2 million youth and young adults experience homelessness every year. At least 50% of homeless youth are under the age of 18 and are unsheltered. Over fifty thousand youth sleep on the streets for six months or more each year. To assist homeless and at-risk youth, StandUp for Kids provides services through our four core services; Street Outreach, Housing Support, Outreach/Drop-In Centers and Mentoring Programs. These services provide them with comfort items (food, clothing, hygiene products, etc.); vital information regarding available resources to meet their needs; housing; advocacy, other resources to assist in alleviating the problem of youth homelessness and prepare them for self-sufficiency. During 2022, StandUp for Kids provided over 37,800 instances of support nationwide preparing them for self-sufficiency. | Desc |
