Desc	During the 2022 the board of directors determined to restart program for ProCon.org of substantially the same nature as in prior years. The purpose is to research and help others research and market and promote data and information so others can make better decisions with the information, and donate support to other worthy causes. The board of directors will begin to raise funds and maintain public charity status. Procon.org continues to monitor the ProCon.org web site now run by another organization. No programs were run in 2022 as the board decision to restart program was near year end. In prior years the award-winning ProCon.org website serves more than 20 million people each year, including students and teachers in more than 11,000 schools in all 50 states and 90 countries. Additionally, 37 U.S. state governments, 17 U.S. state departments of education, 31 foreign governments, 25 U.S. federal agencies, and thousands of media articles have cited ProCon.org.For each of its U.S. presidential election sites since 2008, ProCon.org has attracted millions of readers with its coverage of the candidates and their positions on key issues. In 2012, the New York Times (Great Free Websites for Teaching Election 2012, September 5, 2012) hailed the ProCon.org election site as the most comprehensive teaching tool for researching the candidates stance on issues. The Times recommended ProCon.org again in 2020 as among the essential election sites for students wanting to engage with that years presidential campaign (Natalie Proulx and Katherine Schulten, Election 2020: 11 Ways to Engage Students from Now until November, nytimes.com, May 21, 2020). Procon.org was going close the corporation. In 2022 the board of directors determined to reestablish program activity for ProCon.org. The new program purpose of the Procon.org is very close to the prior years, but without the web site. The new purpose is to research and help others research and market and promote data and information so others can make better decisions with the information, and donate support to other worthy causes. ProCon.org had 13.74% of its support from the general public in 2022. The board of director anticipates a higher support level percent in future years as fund raising will be restarted. ProCon.org had 26.36% of its support from the general public in 2021. On May 29, 2020, the Britannica Group announced its receipt of ProCon.org, the countrys leading source for information and research on all sides of the debatable issues of the day. Britannica is one of the most prominent educational publishers in the world, producer of not only the famed Encyclopedia Britannica, the oldest continuously published (since 1768) and revised work in the English language, but also a large suite of resources for students, schools, and teachers in multiple languages. The Britannica Group is headquartered in Chicago.After May 29 2020, ProCon.org. stopped raising donor support. Also, with release of ProCon.org web site the board of directors shut down the operations of ProCon.org and the associated administrative work. After funds were used for the transition to Britannica and all debts paid, the bank account of ProCon.org was closed.
