Part I Line 1	\| Explanation:\| In 2023 Associated Black Charities ABC expanded its reach by launching new programmatic initiatives. ABC is leading the charge by offering critical programming initiatives and advocacy designed to confront structural racism. Our relevance is reflected in our current work to create equitable solutions that not only address the needs of Black communities today but also provide long-term sustainability for future generations. We are tackling the digital divide advancing leadership opportunities for young Black professionals and driving conversations around racial equity in workplaces and communities. ABC is deeply committed to advocacy work in our key focus areas: the racial wealth gap workplace discrimination education housing health equity and criminal justice reform. We actively engage in conversations with local state and national leaders to promote policies and practices that create equitable opportunities for Black people. Part III Line 1	\| Explanation:\| Associated Black Charities ABC is a racial equity organization that works as an educator advocate supporter and convener to address and eliminate the barriers created by structural racism and to advance long-term solutions that create new opportunities for Black people to thrive. As a catalyst for racial and economic equity ABC empowers Black communities by addressing systemic barriers to opportunity. Through advocacy education leadership development and strategic partnerships ABC strives to eliminate disparities in access to resources.
Part III Line 4	\| Explanation:\| ABCs extensive programming and initiatives are designed to address the systemic issues impacting Baltimores Black community and to create pathways for equity and empowerment. Program accomplishments include: ABC Academy: Our leadership development program designed to empower individuals with tools and training focused on racial equity leadership and professional growth. The Academy has been instrumental in training Black leaders to drive change in their families workplaces and communities. Equity at Work Webinars & Equity First Webinars: These webinars bring together thought leaders advocates and professionals to discuss embedding racial equity into workplace policies and practices. They focus on creating inclusive environments where Black employees can thrive. Board Pipeline Leadership Development Training Program: This program prepares Black professionals for board leadership roles ensuring that Black voices are represented in decision-making spaces across Baltimores nonprofit and civic organizations. Young Leaders Board Pipeline: A one-day in-person cohort experience designed to prepare young Black leaders aged 16-24 for board leadership positions. This program is critical in fostering the next generation of Black civic and community leaders. Community Conversations: Our monthly public forums held in Baltimore neighborhoods are designed to facilitate honest discussions about racial equity wealth gaps and social justice. These conversations engage diverse perspectives and serve as platforms for educating and mobilizing the community. Film Screenings and Panel Discussions: ABC organizes film screenings such as Squeegee and Walking While Black: L.O.V.E. Is the Answer followed by panel discussions on topics like racial equity youth empowerment and police accountability. These events are designed to foster dialogue and action around pressing social issues. Racial Equity Trainings and Fee-for-Service Work: Using the framework of our Ten Essential Questions for racial equity ABC provides customized trainings to organizations including partnerships with City departments such as the Mayors Office of Homeless Services. These services help organizations embed racial equity into their practices. Baltimore Black Racial Equity Organization Summit & Health Equity Alliance: ABC is a driving force behind these gatherings which bring together organizations and leaders to strategize and collaborate on advancing racial equity and health equity in Baltimore. Equity in Action Conference: This annual event convenes community leaders policymakers and advocates to discuss strategies for embedding equity in all areas of public life. It is a cornerstone of our work in Baltimore offering actionable insights and tools for change. The Cookout: A community-building event focused on fostering solidarity celebrating Black culture and advancing the movement toward racial equity. Women on the Move & Mens Night Out: These signature events focus on empowering and uplifting Black women and men through networking leadership development and community engagement. ABC Revival: A community event that recharges our commitment to racial equity highlights our partnerships within the faith community and strengthens our connections with the communities we serve. The Black Leadership Circle: A network of Black leaders and professionals committed to advancing racial equity through collective action and shared leadership. Teen Financial Literacy Summit: Designed to equip Black youth with the financial knowledge and skills needed for long-term success this summit is a critical part of our work in empowering the next generation.
Part VI Line 6	\| Explanation:\| ABC has a community of program partners supporters followers and stakeholders but does not have a formal membership model. We do maintain a professional network of advocates for equity across sectors. However community partnerships do not convey voting rights on governance matters.
