| Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 6 | Members join the Long Beach Area Convention and Visitors Bureau by applying to the entity. An interested party completes an application, pays the required dues and then submits both to the entity. The organization has two types of members. The first group is for all member companies that operate and run hotels, called "Operating Members". Within this group, there are two subgroups. The first is for hotel members that have 200 or more rooms, called "Operating - Large Member". The second group is for all hotel members that have less than 200 rooms, called "Operating - Small member." The second type of member includes all other types of member companies. Each is called a "Regular Member". Every member company, regardless of the group or class it belongs to, has one vote. A member is able to vote on the board of directors and the approval of decisions of the governing body. |

Every member of the board is determined through a vote of the general membership. Each board member has three years term. In voting on board members, the process is as follows.
