| Description | Facilitating the permanent placement of children with special needs in adoptive homes throughout the United States. In our quest to find forever families for waiting children, The Adoption Exchange has helped to find permanent homes for 7,259 children since 1983. In fiscal 2012, we served 1,069 waiting children, 302 of these children were placed in loving adoptive homes. Our web site, www.adoptex.org had an average of 1,063 visits each day; profiled 1,497 children in our searchable database; and provided video stream profiles of 84 waiting children. In additon, 26,326 individuals received one-on-one answers to adoption inquiries and requests for advocacy or information, while 5,646 adoptive families and professionals received one-on-one post-adoption information and support in various forms. | Description |

In fiscal 2012, The Adoption Exchange acted as the Recruitment Response Team in the states of CO, UT, NV, SD, WY, MO, IA, KS, NE, MT, and ND. Additionally, The Adoption Exchange handled all out-of-country and military families' inquiries. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: Colorado PARC (Post-Adoption Resource Center) Colorado Post Adoption Resource Center (COPARC) provides post-adoption support for Colorado families who have adopted a child through the foster care system. Services include a toll-free warm line with regional Resource Coordinators to provide a friendly voice and a network of services and educational seminars for families and for professionals, as well as respite care, group support, newsletters, and grants. |
