Description	THE ORGANIZATION IMPROVES & DEVELOPS REFERENCE LIBRARY SERVICES & PROMOTES INTERLIBRARY COOPERATION IN THE USE OF LIBRARY RESOURCES & REFERENCE TOOLS. CONTINUING EDUCATION IS ONE OF ITS LARGEST PROGRAMS - 67 LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES WERE HELD; 1,656 LIBRARY WORKERS PARTICIPATED. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES & SERVICES PROGRAM (RBDB-REGIONAL BIBLIOGRAPHIC & DATA BASES) ENABLED SCRLC TO PROVIDE THREE MAJOR DATABASES TO REGIONAL LIBRARIES AND FACILITATE THEIR PARTICIPATION IN VIRTUAL REFERENCE INITIATIVES AND OTHER RESOURCES INCLUDING LIBGUIDES. IT ALSO SUPPORTED DIGITIZATION AND RESOURCE SHARING EFFORTS. THE HOSPITAL LIBRARY SERVICES PROGRAM PROVIDED 19 HOSPITALS WITH HEALTH INFORMATION RESOURCES, WHICH IN TURN SUPPORTS IMPROVED PATIENT OUTCOMES.SCRLC'S PLAN OF SERVICE IS LOCATED AT http://www.scrlc.org/data/PlanofService20112016R1.pdfTHE ORGANIZATIONAL VISION AND VALUES ARE AS FOLLOWS:SCRLC ENVISIONS A FUTURE WHERE NEW YORK STATE RESIDENTS HAVE EQUITY OF ACCESS TO INFORMATION AND RESOURCES ANYWHERE, ANYTIME. Explanation	The Organization adopted the provisions of Accounting for Uncertainty in Income Taxes, which prescribes a recognition threshold and measurement process for recording in the financial statements uncertain tax positions taken or expected to be taken in a tax return. Additionally, this provides guidance on the recognition, classification, accounting in interim periods and disclosure requirements for certain tax positions. At June 30, 2013, the Organization did not have any unrecognized tax benefits or any related accrued interest or penalties. The tax years open to examination by the Federal taxing authorities are 2010 through 2012.Significant management judgment is required in determining uncertain tax positions. While the Organization bases its estimates on historical experience and various other assumptions that management believes to be reasonable under the circumstances, actual results may differ from these estimates, and, as a result, could have a material impact on the financial position.
