| Part X : FIN48 Footnote | APDA is incorporated as a not-for profit organization and is exempt from Federal income taxes under Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. In addition, APDA has been determined not to be a private foundation under Section 509(A) of said Code. APDA regularly reviews and evaluates its tax positions taken on current and previously filed tax returns and as reflected in its financial statements, with regard to issues affecting its not for profit status. APDA believes that in the event of an examination by taxing authorities, APDAs position would prevail based on technical merits. APDAs tax returns are generally subject to examination by the Internal Revenue Service for three years including August 31, 2016, 2015 and 2014. |

Initial funding is made based on the grant and subsequent payments are made contingent on progress reports.
