| Explanation | The USF-IKAC is exempt from federal income taxes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (IRC) and is classified as a publicly supported organization as defined in Section 509(a)(3) of the IRC. The USF-IKAC is also exempt from state and local income taxes and qualifies for the maximum charitable contribution deduction by donors. USF-IKAC recognizes the effects of income tax positions only if those positions are more likely than not of being sustained. No provision for income taxes has been made, as USF-IKAC has not reported any taxable unrelated business income and any unrelated business income is offset by associated expenditures.
