ExplanationBased on a needs evaluation and as much as possible, the organization makes contributions directly to the service providers on behalf of individuals and organizations. Specifically, for our Clinical Health & Wellness Program, the grant process begins when an application is completed in full, signed, and sent to our care team. During the application process, a Hope For The Warriors care coordinator will speak with the service member or veteran and their veteran's affairs care manager, and will review the submitted document. After these steps have been completed, the care coordinator presents the case to the critical care coordination team for a final decision of approval or denial of funds. A decision will be returned to the service member and/or veteran in less than two weeks from the date the completed application is submitted.ExplanationTxt

Form 990, Part III, Line 1, Description of Organization Mission:We believe those touched by military service can succeed at home by restoring their sense of self, family, and hope. Nationally, Hope For The Warriors provides comprehensive support programs for service members, veterans, and military families that are focused on transition, health and wellness, peer engagement, and connections to community resources. Hope For The Warriors understands the challenges, pride, and joy of being a military family. For today, tomorrow, and years to come, we will strive to meet the changing needs of service members and their families. Hope For The Warriors is a family, united by our shared conviction of honor and sacrifice.
Form 990, Part III, Line 1, Description of Organization Mission:Hope For The Warriors actively seeks to ensure that the sacrifices of wounded and fallen warriors and their families are never forgotten nor their needs unmet, particularly with regard to the short and long-term care of the severely injured.
Form 990, Part III, Line 4a, Transition Services:Our team works closely with employers to create program opportunities for service members and spouses as they prepare for their transition out of the military. Partnerships with universities are built to meet the needs of today's veteran college student. Biannual scholarships are awarded to both spouses and caregivers recognizing and supporting the new role shouldered within their families. Program work is completed through intensive multi-day programs, one-day seminars, virtual educational webinars, and one-on-one mentoring. Hope For The Warriors clinical and wellness programs address individualized/family transition effects. Included in Transition Services is A Warrior's Wish, a program that honors the goals and desires of severely wounded service members, veterans, and their families. Wishes fulfill a desire for a better quality of life or support a quest for life-gratifying endeavors for post-9/11 service members, their families, and families of the fallen who have sustained physical and psychological wounds in the line of duty. The enrichment process continues long after the wish is granted through community development to promote stability within the lives of these heroes and their families.
Form 990, Part III, Line 4b, Clinical Health and Wellness:Our licensed clinicians provide holistic, person-centered care. We offer a range of services that address both urgent and long-term veteran and family wellness needs. Our unique approach of comprehensive case management ensures our warriors and their families experience a solution-based approach to restoring self, family, and hope.
