| PART III, LINE 4B | Climate and Rural Development: IATP has been working intensively over the last decade at the intersection of climate and agriculture policy. We are advocating for a policy framework that supports farmers and rural communities in a just transition toward regenerative agriculture and energy systems that effectively respond to the climate crisis. During FY2019, our accomplishments included working in partnership with the Jefferson Center to organize a Rural Climate Dialogue in Redwood County, Minnesota, to support the local community in addressing challenges related to weather and climate. |

As a research and advocacy organization, our work to achieve systems change is bolstered by our ability to create accessible and relevant materials that inform efforts to achieve fair and sustainable, food, farm and trade systems. During FY2019, IATP disseminated original research across diverse media platforms, including reports, fact sheets, articles, videos, blog posts, press releases and social media posts, as well as secured media coverage in print, online and broadcast outlets. |
| PART III, LINE 4D | Industrial Livestock: IATP continues to build on our decades-long history of fighting against the harms of the exploitive factory farm system. We work in coalition with partners to hold the industrial livestock sector accountable to climate, food safety and human rights standards. During FY2019 our work included targeting policies that prop up factory farms and promoting a transition toward a more just and sustainable meat and poultry production system. Community Food Systems: IATP seeks to build vibrant community-based food systems that give all people access to sufficient, safe, culturally appropriate and nutritious food while also developing local food supply chains that allow small- to mid-scale farmers to access a variety of new markets. During FY2019 our accomplishments included co-leading a coalition of farm, food and public health groups to pass a Farm to School and Early Care bill in Minnesota, which for the first time created a reimbursement program for schools and early cares purchases of local foods. |

| PART 1, LINE 19 - MANAGEMENT'S PLAN | The Organization experienced significant net losses in both 2018 and 2019 due to a revenue shortfall and thus spent down a considerable portion of their cash reserves. In response to the consecutive years of significant net loss, management implemented changes to improve the Organizations financial health. In 2019, the Organizations Development infrastructure was restructured, and a refreshed Development strategy was adopted. In addition, the Board of Directors approved a balanced budget for 2020, which includes a very conservative revenue perspective and a reduction of expenses of around $219,000 from 2019. Management believes that the Organizations financial health will continue to improve based upon the changes first implemented in 2019 and therefore the Organization has alleviated the initial doubt about its ability to continue as a going concern. |
