Hosted Design Jams in Seattle and Baltimore Brought together over 50 creative individuals, business owners, and manufacturers to develop solutions to local challenges by leveraging local manufacturing capabilities. Provided Technical Assistance to Made in NYC and SFMade Supported two local branding initiatives by providing technical assistance. In NYC we helped plan and run a week-long celebration of small maker businesses in New York as well. In San Francisco we managed a community of practice that brought together economic development leaders from the San Francisco Bay Area to learn about the importance of manufacturing and the challenges manufacturing businesses face. Facilitated the Flexible Product Fabrication Community of Practice Brought together over 25 individuals, business owners, workforce trainers, and academics to a series of group discussions to explore challenges and opportunities for small batch manufacturers working in the soft goods and textile industry. |
