AT THE END OF 2010, THE ARIZONA TRAIL WAS ESTIMATED TO BE 815 MILES IN LENGTH. THERE ARE 787 MILES COMPLETE AND 28 MILES REMAINING TO BUILD. IN 2010, CONSTRUCTION OF AN 11 MILE BLACK HILLS PASSAGE REROUTE BEGAN. ALSO, AN 18 MILE NON WILDERNESS EQUESTRIAN AND MOUNTAIN BIKE FRIENDLY ROUTE WAS BEING FINALIZED IN THE SANTA CATALINA MOUNTAINS AND WILL BE ADDED TO THE AZT ROLLS IN 2011. THE FINAL THREE MILES OF THE 12 MILE ALAMO CANYON PASSAGE WERE COMPLETED AND A 1.4 MILE REROUTE IN THE TORTILLA MONTAIN PASSAGE WAS ALSO COMPLETED. | Description |
