| Part X: | Description of Uncertain Tax Positions Under FIN 48: | The Association is exempt from federal income taxes under Section 501(c)(3H) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Association follows accounting standards that provide clarification on accounting for uncertainty in income taxes recognized in the Association's financial statements. The guidance prescribes a recognition threshold and measurement attribute for the financial statements recognition and measurement of a tax position taken or expected to be taken in a tax return, and also provides guidance on de-recognition, classification, interest and penalties, disclosure and transition. Tax returns for certain years are subject to audit by federal and state jurisdictions. At September 30, 2010, there are no significant income tax uncertainties that are expected to have a material impact on the Association's 2010 financial statements. |
