ExplanationFORM 990, SCHEDULE D, PART X, LINE 2: Recently Issued Accounting Pronouncements: The Financial Accounting Standards Board ("FASB") issued new guidance on accounting for uncertainty in income taxes. The Organization adopted this new guidance for the year ended June 30, 2010. Management evaluated the Organization's tax positions and concluded that the Organization had maintained its tax exempt status and had taken no uncertain tax positions that required adjustments to the financial statements. Therefore, no provision or liability for income taxes has been included in the financial statements. The Internal Revenue Service has granted ABIM, which is not a private foundation, exemption from income taxes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Accordingly, no provision for income taxes has been made in the accompanying financial statements.Explanation
