| Description | The John Corocoran Foundation, Inc. provided training for tutors and provided tutorial remedial reading programs in schools and online for students. The school districts that are provided with online tutorial remedial reading programs include Denver Public Schools, Jeffco Public Schools, Pueblo District 60 Schools, Los Angeles Unified School District, and San Diego Unified School District. The Foundation is approved by the State of California Department of Education and the State of Colorado Department of Education to provide Supplemental Education Services (SES). The Organization is under written contracts with each of the school districts that SES are provided for. Each of the school districts pay the organization based on the terms of the contracts, as per the Grant's terms and conditions. The Organization provides qualified students with a free computer, three months of paid internet, in addition to remedial software and tutoring. If the program is successfully completed by the student, the computer is his or hers to keep. | Description |
