| Part X | Part X : FIN48 Footnote | Income taxes - The Internal Revenue Service has granted an exemption from income taxes to the Foundation under Section 501(c) 3 of the Internal Revenue Code, except on net income derived from unrelated business activities. A similar exemption applies for state income tax. As of December 31, 2010 and 2009, the Foundation had not engaged in any unrelated business activities. Therefore, no provision for income taxes has been recorded. The Foundation believes that it has appropriate support for any tax positions taken, and as such, does not have any uncertain tax positions that are material to the financial statements. |
