Description	Counseling:OPEN HEART-OPEN MIND: A school-based, direct service program serving 10,000 elementary, middle and high school students who are at risk for academic failure. Our teams of social workers provide services that schools, teachers and administrators often do not have the time or capacity to address. LIFE STEPS: A counseling and preventive services program for Brooklyn children and adolescents at risk of being removed from their families due to abuse, neglect or family break-up. Our staff of professional social workers offers individual, family and group counseling services to 142 families to prevent school dropout, strengthen families and help adolescents deal with overwhelming stresses in their lives such as teen pregnancy, early-age parenting and entry into the workforce.CENTER FOR CAPACITY BUILDING: Center for Capacity Building offers professional development and training, as well as an Open Heart-Open Mind replication model for urban school success. We offered a wide range of trainings and workshops derived from our diverse best practices in 32 area schools with more than 200 teachers/administrators present.	Description
