The Society has adopted the provisions of FASB ASC 740, Accounting for Uncertainty in Income Taxes. There were no unrecognized tax benefits as of September 30, 2011. The Society recognizes interest accrued related to unrecognized tax benefits in interest expense and penalties in administrative expense.
