| Description | RESEARCHERS AT FOX CHASE INVESTIGATE PROBLEMS THAT RANGE FROM UNDERSTANDING THE FUNDAMENTAL MECHANISMS OF BIOMOLECULOR REACTIONS ALL THE WAY TO THE TREATMENT OF NEOPLASTIC DISEASES IN THE CLINIC. THE SCIENCE IS CONDUCTED WITH FOX CHASES'S COMMITMENT TO RESEARCH AND INTERDISCIPLINARY INTERACTION. CURRENT FACULTY RESEARCH PROGRAMS ARE WIDE-RANGING AND INCLUDE CANCER BIOLOGY IDENTIFYING SUITABLE TARGETS FOR INTERVENTION IN CANCER AND USING THIS INFORMATION TO INFORM NOVEL PRECLINICAL STUDIES AND CLINICAL TRIALS THAT TARGET COOPERATING CANCER-PROMOTING PATHWAYS. CANCER PREVENTION AND CONTROL INTEGRATING BASIC AND APPLIED RESEARCH IN THE AREAS OF CHEMOPREVENTION, MEDICAL SCIENCE, AND THE BEHAVIORAL, SOCIAL AND POPULATION SCIENCES IMMUNE CELL DEVELOPMENT AND HOST DEFENSE FOCUSING ON THE BIOLOGY OF IMMUNE CELLS-FROM HOW THEY DEVELOP TO HOW THEY FUNCTION, PRINCIPALLY IN THE CONTENT OF VIRAL INFECTIONS. DEVELOPMENTAL THERAPEUTICS SEEING TO UNDERSTAND THE FUNDAMENTAL MOLECULAR EVENTS THAT DRIVE CANCER AND UTILIZE THIS KNOWLEDGE TO CREATE NEW THERAPEUTIC AGENTS AND IMPROVE THE APPLICATION OF EXISTING AGENTS.
