PROVIDED FREE PROMOTIONAL LISTINGS AND ADVERTISING TO ALL MEMBERS CONTINUED STRIP DISTRICT SAFETY AND SECURITY ISSUES INCLUDING: -WORKED WITH CITY TRAFFIC ENGINEERS REGARDING TRAFFIC AND PEDESTRIAN CONGESTION AND SAFETY ISSUES. -AS A RESULT OF EFFORTS, PART I CRIMES IN THE STRIP HAVE DECREASED 60% SINCE 2001. OPENED PITTSBURGH PUBLIC MARKET PROVIDING A HOME FOR 45 START-UP BUSINESSES, WITH 175 NEW JOBS CREATED. THE MARKET ATTRACTED OVER 200,000 CUSTOMERS RESULTING IN 1.8 MILLION IN GROSS SALES FOR THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. ASSISTED A VARIETY OF BUSINESS WISHING TO LOCATE INTO THE STRIP TO LOCATE SPACE, ZONING APPROVALS AND OTHER CITY APPROVALS.
