| Affected persons (staff and Board) complete and submit the conflict of interest statement on an annual basis at the beginning of each fiscal year. Any potential conflicts are reviewed by the UCS President who determines whether a conflict exists and is material. If a matter is material, the President will bring it to the attention of the Board Chair. If the UCS President has the conflict, he or she would disclose the matter to the Board Chair directly. | The UCS policy is that the Finance Committee of the Board be informed of the performance based recommendations for salary for key employees in the context of market information and our merit increase system. The purpose of this policy is to provide transparency and compliance with various legal standards for non-profit management.
