TWTC ALSO PROVIDES AN ARRAY OF WRAPAROUND SERVICES DESIGNED TO ADDRESS THE FULL RANGE OF CLIENT NEEDS, INCLUDING MEDICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES, PARENTING EDUCATION AND CHILD CARE SERVICES, AS WELL AS LINKAGES TO JOB TRAINING, EMPLOYMENT, EDUCATION AND OTHER COMMUNITY-BASED PROGRAMS.TWTC PIONEERED THE STATE OF ILLINOIS' COMPREHENSIVE RESIDENTIAL SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT SERVICES FOR WOMEN WITH CHILDREN AND HAS BECOME A NATIONAL MODEL FOR PROVIDING TREATMENT AND SUPPORT SERVICES TO WOMEN AND CHILDREN IN A COMMUNITY-BASED SETTING. IN FY 11, TWTC SERVED 1054 WOMEN AND MORE THAN 356 CHILDREN FROM ACROSS ILLINOIS;THE MAJORITY CAME FROM CHICAGO'S SOUTH AND WEST SIDES. OF THE 1054, 64% WERE AFRICAN AMERICAN, 28% WERE CAUCASIAN, 4% WERE HISPANIC AND 4% WERE OTHER ETHNIC GROUPS; ALL SPOKE ENGLISH AS THEIR PRIMARY LANGUAGE. THE MEDIAN AGE WAS 41.
