| Description | Regional Fellowship Programs: ELP's Regional Fellowship Programs offers intensive leadership and skill training, regional and national networking opportunities, and time for personal and professional reflection. Through retreats and optional additional trainings, our curriculum helps emerging leaders hone their leadership styles, improve their strategy and organizational development, and strengthen their outreach to diverse constituencies. In 2012 ELP operated two regional networks, its New England Program for those living and/or working in CT, MA, ME, NH, RI and VT; and its Eastern Program for those living and/or working in DE, NJ, NY and eastern PA. In total, 36 emerging leaders completed the program and joined our national network of Senior Fellows. | Description |

| Description | Innovation Grants Program: In 2012, ELP launched a new Innovation Grants Program with two distinct goals, to create innovative projects and programs to address climate action, the development of green economies and transportation efficiency at the local, regional and national level which can be replicated and/or scaled up and to increase the project based collaborations among members of the ELP Fellowship Community. Our first request for proposals generated 18 submissions from 51 Senior Fellows. Of the 18 proposal submitted, 7 projects, with 22 collaborators, were selected by an external review committee to receive funding. | Description |

| Explanation | Schedule I, Part I, Line 2: ELP's Innovation Grant Program is a highly selective competitive grant created to generate innovative solutions to pressing environmental challenges through the fostering of collaborations within the ELP Senior Fellows Network. ELP Senior Fellows applying for this grant must collaborate with at least one other Senior Fellow, submit a project proposal which includes evaluations protocols for their project as well as a theory of change, and provide a detailed presentation about their project through ELP's Webinar Series. Proposals are reviewed by an external (non-ELP staff) committee who meet by phone to discuss each proposal and critique them by using a decision rubric and their expert opinions on which projects are the most innovative and/or most likely to succeed. At the conclusion of each project, Innovation Grant Teams present their results to ELP and the general public through a webinar. Innovation Grant Webinars are open to the general public to provide both transparency in the work as well as to spur conversation about the projects and hopefully spur replication and scaling efforts. All webinars are recorded and available in ELP's Webinar Archive www.elpnet.org/webinar-archive.
